i’m not very tech-savvy, but i’ve been trying to learn every day. i’ve been eager and saving money for a pc finally. i managed to buy a custom-built system from a local shop in my city. i put everything together carefully—runtime 9 5900 12 cores, a 4090 geforce, it was top-of-the-line. after a month of heavy use, the machine started acting up. it would crash suddenly, even when running games or chatting. the screen would freeze and stop responding, but the pc kept running. i thought maybe the monitor was switching, but it didn’t help. my headphones still worked, so audio stayed intact. through that sound, my input felt okay—like in a game i could control, but not see anything on screen. the fans on my graphics card kept spinning nonstop, yet temperatures looked normal. i thought maybe the monitor was faulty, but they said it was fixed after replacing parts like the gpu, power supply, and ram. even after three visits, they still couldn’t fix it. now when i bring it home, the crashes start again right away. they say it’s random, happening without any clear reason—sometimes it happens with no apps open, sometimes after hours of play, sometimes just once an hour. it’s really frustrating because i can’t figure out what’s causing it and the shop seems to lose confidence after many tries. i’m stuck and looking for advice that might help solve this strange problem.

It was the same problem for me too—it was my GPU overheating briefly, even though the temperature stayed normal otherwise. I resolved it by replacing the GPU. Assuming they did a full replacement of the GPU, CPU, PSU, and RAM, this shouldn’t be an issue. While researching online, some users reported drive-related problems causing the same issue, so I’ll check that as well.
