Hey there! I’ve checked the forums and seen several questions about this kind of Windows setup. I’m trying to figure it out myself, but here’s what I know: I have an Asus X555LB laptop running Windows 11 Pro without any modifications. It has an Intel Core I5-5200U processor, a Nvidia GeForce 940M graphics card, 4GB RAM (1 SODIMM), and 8GB of internal memory. The hard drive is a Kingston SSD, not the original one with a 1TB HDD.

The CPU is quite old—just a dual-core with four threads. It’s running smoothly enough for basic tasks, but I’m concerned about performance when multitasking. Right now, idle usage is around 15-20%, which is decent, but I want to know if Tiny11 would help reduce that further.

I’ve disabled security features and updates to keep things simple, but I’m worried about missing out on some functionality. If I enable them later, I hope it won’t cause issues. My main concern is usability: I don’t use heavy programs, but I want to be sure any essential apps can run without errors. I’ve had some trouble with Unity games and other indie titles in this setup before.

Any tips or insights would be really helpful!

Turn off unnecessary background applications to save memory. I’m not sure what Tiny11 is, but it sounds like a lightweight OS that should help with storage, RAM, and CPU usage. It’s not too demanding, so my current 2.53ghz Core 2 Duo laptop running Windows 10 should handle Windows 11 easily.

Tiny resembles Win 11 yet all unnecessary features are removed, likely making even Pentium sufficient

Sure, I tested it on a 2 GHz single-core Athlon64 with 2 GB of RAM just to check the performance.
