I only have drivers and Skype on my SSD, so I don’t really need to back them up. Plus, the internet is slow, so it’s fine.

It will travel through your files and applications, but having a backup remains wise in case anything goes wrong (though it shouldn’t). I keep it on my system and the process was straightforward—just a Windows Update.
