A reflection on the quiet moments and unspoken emotions that shape our lives.
Hey everyone! I've noticed something interesting lately—temperatures have dropped and my hands feel chilly. It seems obvious, but until recently I wasn't sure if it was really linked. Surprisingly, testing showed my hands get colder while playing games compared to when I'm typing or browsing online. Since I use the usual keyboard shortcuts and a mouse, it rules out any single activity as the main cause. This is pretty confusing, especially when I can't even enjoy gaming without fumbling with cold fingers. Tea helps temporarily, but it only lasts a while. If you have any ideas about why this happens, please share them! As a workaround, finger gloves work, though they make gameplay a bit harder. Not ideal for multiplayer unless you're going all-in to level the playing field.
I've experienced this before whenever the temperature drops. My hands also feel cold even when I wear a jacket. It becomes a bit more difficult for me to concentrate while playing StarCraft II, though I don’t manage to persuade myself to return to the game.
I think it's probably just a lack of blood flow as you get comfortable. You might not even notice it, but I bet you're less active while playing than when doing other tasks on the computer. Because the game keeps your focus longer, it makes sense you'd stay more still. Even small shifts in posture or movement can significantly impact circulation.
Wear gloves and use a USB connection. Check the link for more details.
