Are you considering playing without spending money? I'm wondering this since the free version only lets you reach up to 20 LvL.
If you're joining the game with the goal of subscribing because you enjoy it, proceed. If not, skip it. I still find the game appealing, even though it's gotten a bit too relaxed for my preferences. I intend to return in January or February. (I've tried Vanilla, TBC and WOTLK)
Don't bother playing it if you don't plan on subbing, all of the content is late game when your max level. There's nothing to do but questing and once you hit the level cap you wont be able to do anything else because every new area will be over leveled. Plus there are hundreds of other Tab Target MMO's that are actually free to play with no imposed level caps if you don't pay anything.
Never played the character myself, yet many people I meet and hear online suggest the experience isn’t truly enjoyable until you hit the final stage. It’s unclear how much fun you’ll have at level 20—maybe someone with more experience can share their thoughts. Still, most agree the end game is generally better across almost all titles.
Actually the situation got tough. Before the usual healing mechanics as a healer spawned a target, things were easier. Now it's really challenging to heal—you need to move around and you're easily wiped out! This is normal, not a bug.
It's actually pretty manageable to keep moving during raids to stay safe. Cleaning up quickly is straightforward, especially since tanking Illidan was a tough challenge in TBC. Usually only Warrior classes were used for that, because when he hits a specific health threshold he delivers a sudden burst of damage. If you don't activate the shield wall at the right moment, it can wipe out the whole group in under three seconds.
