I've checked my setup carefully. With a Z170 that supports up to 3000 MHz via XMP, I might just skip the overclocking and use my cooler to keep the CPU cool. I've managed to upgrade my RAM to 40 dollars of refurbished Z170 boards, which should comfortably support a CPU speed of 4.4 or 4.5 GHz. On the video, I noticed a noticeable jump from 20 FPS to around 3200, and with the boost to 3000 it could easily reach 30 or 35 frames—still a solid improvement. Regarding RAM beyond XMP profiles on a Z170 board, it depends on the specific model; it might be worth exploring if you're looking for extra performance.
