A part of your headphones is damaged.
Hello, I have a really strange problem with my headphones and DAC setup. Let's look at the basics: I’m using an ISK MDH8500 connected via USB-C to E10K-TC on my laptop, and a BEYERDYNAMIC DT770 Pro 80 Ohm on FIIO’s E10K Olympus II on my PC. Both devices worked fine until recently. Two days ago the DT770 stopped playing on one channel, and today the ISK stopped on the other. The headphones themselves were functioning perfectly—just stopped working after a couple of days. I checked Windows settings and drivers, ran a system repair, reinstalled the DAC firmware, and tested everything on different devices with various ports and power sources. It seems like a hardware failure caused both to die. The odd part is that they were connected to separate machines using different DACs and still failed within days. I even started using OBS on both systems, but they’re on different power outlets. At this point, I’m stuck and can’t figure out what’s going on. Any thoughts? Have anyone else experienced something similar?
