Perfect scenario would match frequency and timing. You're clearly restricted to 2666 by the board. For timing, various options are possible but everything will ultimately align with suboptimal settings. Having identical settings is best, though technically it could function—mixing and matching RAM might succeed or fail. It's not certain, but generally it should work.

Based on what you observed, these parts can handle up to 2666 and offer faster performance. You might want to check the profiles for JEDEC if needed. These are budget-friendly RAM sticks worth considering even with 16GB. Here are the links:

Your motherboard supports four RAM slots, so using the same set of sticks will provide exactly 16GB. Look up the part number on your RAM and purchase the identical kit again—this is the most affordable and secure choice. You could also consider buying a used 16GB kit for a lower price.

Danke Stahlman, I ordered the 4 x 8 GB Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 16GB DDR4 kit with dual channels at 2666MHZ. It came from a UK company offering a great deal. Thanks to everyone who replied!
