I assume you turned off all wake-on events in the BIOS, including LAN and mouse wake features. Your laser mouse has occasionally moved the cursor without you touching it. If a wake event remains active in BIOS and triggers the machine to start while sitting, it may cause issues. The mouse's surface properties—like color or texture—can sometimes mimic movement, leading to false detections. Even with solid colors, varied patterns can confuse it. If the mouse still powers on while off, it might register movement and attempt to boot automatically. Check the BIOS under "Power management" and disable every wake-on feature to prevent this.
