Hey! I understand what you're going through. As a student, it can be tough to manage screen time and stay focused. You mentioned wanting to set specific internet access times on your device, like limiting use to certain hours. That sounds like a good idea. Have you tried using any built-in tools or apps that allow scheduling or time limits for internet usage? Let me know if you'd like some suggestions!

I truly believe a real, consistent shift would be more effective than actions you’ll likely skip due to impulsiveness. Still, let’s tackle this first. If parental controls fail, timed power adapters—whether basic or connected to the internet—remain reliable for managing devices on or off as needed. This approach functions across most scenarios, though I wouldn’t apply it to systems where data integrity matters, like running a computer. Avoid anything that risks losing data. Begin by establishing clear boundaries first. Personally, I use my own laptop for studying, which I need regardless. You can also do this for free by creating a local user account on the machine as it was in the past. Also, outline specific goals rather than vague intentions. Many scholars point out that overcommitting to distant objectives leads to frustration when you can’t meet them all at once.

Absolutely, everything you set up will remain "too simple" to turn off, just like you did. Also, avoid running into problems that require digging through research or getting stuck in a frustrating loop.
