A little glitch with my mouse pointer
A little glitch with my mouse pointer
i recently upgraded from a 1070 to an 7800XT and i noticed this weird mouse corruption when transitioning into another shape, for a split second it turns into a red horizontal line, i thought i might have been traces from DDU, but then i upgrade from win 10 to 11 doing a clean installation and the glitch still there, enabling cursor shadows seems to make it happen more frequently but enabling pointer trail seems to get rid of the problem so far i havent had that many problems with the card just 2 occations of the driver timeout message when starting the pc, and one crash when playing a game, that it actually turned one monitor black and the other green (no text), and the pc restarted by itself immediatly after that what im trying to wonder if this is a hardware issue and if i should return the card before it escalates into something worse Weird bug video i tried posting on somebody else's old thread with the same problem but got told to start a new thread: https://forums.
Have you taken out the old Nvidia drivers before installing a new one? If not, try running DDU in safe mode. Maybe remove both Nvidia and AMD drivers, restart normally, then install the Adrenalin suite. See if that helps. How to do a clean install of your video card drivers. Updated 9-19-19. How to use Wagnard's Display Driver Uninstaller for a proper clean install. A big problem is having multiple graphics drivers or leftover old ones left on your system while you add new ones.
i tried using DDU but then I did a clean install of windows 11. That means i probably dont have any nvidia driver leftovers. The mouse is a g203 and i used to have this software on win10 but not on win11. I still get that bug, so the only thing that comes to mind is an old 7800xt. But i dont know if its a drivers problem or a hardware problem
I tried a different cable and it still didn't work. Same thing happens to me. I've been looking for an answer here. You must have had this problem too before. The only way these little dots appear is if I turn on the cursor trails, but what do you think causes this? Is it because my computer card is brand new so it's broken? Or are the drivers bad? I'm not sure.
does restarting in safe mode help here? That question came up in that thread so go to Settings > System and Recovery > Advanced Startup, click Restart Now and the computer will start into a blue menu. Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced and then Restart, pick Safe Mode (any kind works), use the number next to it to select one of them. The computer starts up again but loads in safe mode instead. You might see some cursor trails or animation that hides things, but you should still be able to see the effect. I guess the only thing they have in common is AMD drivers; my PC had an APU while yours has a GPU. What are your current specs? And what kind of monitor do you use?
