A fresh look at My Modern Warfare 2 Experience highlights and insights from this game.
MW2 was available on Steam, so I added it to my collection to revisit after a long time since its 2009 release. I upgraded my PC and got a 144Hz monitor, curious about whether the performance would improve. Using a separate Steam account, I started fresh with a new match. The team size was around 400 players in team deathmatch—just a random game. I joined a match, explored the area, and noticed an enemy nearby. I began shooting and reloaded, but the system froze repeatedly. I suspected a reload key issue during setup, though my HUD displayed a full chip. Despite this, I kept playing, hoping for more action. After a few minutes, the game ended quickly. I reached level 70 with all weapons, skins, and achievements unlocked—including callsigns and emblems. In just five minutes, I completed every unlocked objective. While I was disappointed not to have more fun, I thought it might be worth the investment if others wanted to try again.
Honestly who would want to grind 700 levels in a game with such little depth? Why isn't the game fun without having to worry about levels.
They exist to make everything accessible for you. These servers aren’t meant for regular play; they’re for unlocking content so you can leave without returning. I suggest joining a private MW2 community and playing there—places where the mods align with your preferences.
