I like how File Explorer looks right now. I prefer a "Last Modified" label over the old "Date". Also, I want Explorer to open on This PC instead of some other place. I took out Quick Access and History because that feels unnecessary. It works fine with my desktop computer, but if I use a third-party app, it opens in a different way. That is really annoying. I tried other alternatives, but they are okay too. However, software keeps opening Explorer anyway. So, I will just stay with the original setup. Does anyone have advice for this problem? My PC is on Windows 11 Pro and everything is up to date.

The thing you see here is just a file opening spot, which looks pretty much like Windows Explorer but isn't actually the same. I don't know how to change anything about this or make it work exactly like your File Explorer does for that folder. The way things are shown depends on each app on its own, so if one app shows them in a certain way, another will see them differently unless you already set something up before.

Yeah, I'm the same thing. My stuff keeps changing all by itself without any real reason.
