I recently purchased Ghost Recon Wildlands since I enjoyed playing it on PS4 before. I wanted to revisit it because it was so enjoyable. The game runs at about 40 frames per second, but I notice many people with similar hardware posting about 60 fps on higher settings. What might be affecting the performance? My setup includes an XFX Radeon RX 580 with 8GB RAM, a Ryzen 5 2600 with six cores, and an SSD drive.

What level of detail are you using? Measuring against standards might not fully capture the factors affecting results, since each environment can differ significantly.

What speed is your RAM operating at? What are your temperatures? Since you haven't specified your exact graphics configurations compared to the benchmarks, it's difficult to confirm if your performance is typical. For context, this was the initial benchmark I ran, and around 40 FPS appears reasonable.

I got everything ready right away. Here’s the game screen at high settings: sorry, I didn’t include that detail. My RAM is clocked at 2666 MHz.

Which specific RAM package are you using? You might not need DOCP activated, and slower RAM rates could be limiting your performance. Ryzen models generally perform best with rapid memory, often around 3200 or 3600 MHz.

The 2666 MHz single-channel RAM is likely to negatively impact performance. You might want to consider another stick for dual-channel compatibility, but a 3200/3600 MHz device running in dual-channel would be ideal as it eliminates the need to mix and match with your existing RAM.

Single stick setup and low-frequency options will greatly affect performance on Ryzen 2xxx chips. Probably not worth digging deeper; the videos you mentioned weren’t shared, and most of those "demos" work best with overclocked builds rather than default settings.

Thanks a lot for your assistance. I think it’s the RAM that really matters—it never occurred to me it could have such an impact just because of the speed.
