While I was using my PC, unexpectedly some keys on my keyboard (Logitech MK220) stopped functioning (ESC, Space, ALT, etc.). I couldn’t identify any cause and contacted Logitech’s support site, following their troubleshooting steps, but the problem persisted. Since my warranty has expired, they couldn’t connect me to a live agent. Eventually, I cleaned the keyboard from the inside, removed the back cover, but couldn’t take off the control panel and membrane because they were tightly secured. When I checked if the keys worked on the panel, they didn’t respond. Does this indicate an issue with the control panel?

It might be a keyboard with FN keys, possibly triggering a window lock function—often FN combined with ESC, TAB, or CAPS.

Old membrane keyboard, no oddities. It's time to switch to a fresh one.
