A short while ago, when I powered up my PC, it would shut down immediately before attempting again. I assumed the issue was with the power supply unit, but upon testing, the PSU functioned correctly in other systems. Even after checking all cables, the problem persisted. Later, one of my case fans began flashing and producing unusual noises, and after unplugging it, the issue seemed resolved. Could a fan be responsible for this behavior?

Anything is possible. Bad hardware does weird things. It is possible it had a short in it or something.
