Regrettably, I purchased these items during the prosperous times before relocating from an eBay-focused country to a non-eBay environment... There might still be opportunities in the local used market. In the meantime, at least I have a starting point to pursue. Or I can focus on setting up DHCP and assigning the right DNS... Thanks for your assistance!

Sure, I can attempt without the LAGG. Do you think it’s necessary at all?

Honestly, I wouldn’t need anything beyond a cable from my PC to the ISP’s modem if I stuck to what I require. This whole endeavor is focused on learning and doing as much as possible. I can attempt without it just to troubleshoot the problem. I connected a laptop to one of the external ports (LAGG>Switch path) to see if that link works when the LAGG+Switch drops. It hasn’t occurred again since I turned off DHCP on it, though I haven’t declared a win yet because I don’t see a clear connection between my actions and the issue. If it happens again, I’ll update you on the outcome!

It seems there are persistent problems, which might be caused by an unstable boot disk. I suggest trying a different SSD or boot media, reinstalling pfSense, and restoring your configuration. I've noticed similar issues with the Web UI and services occasionally shutting down and restarting after changes.

Recent update: I haven't seen these random outages happen, but I've noticed a pattern with this issue: When launching the PC linked to the switch using LACP, I connect quickly. But reaching the PFSense box is much slower now compared to before. Before using PFSense, it took longer than usual to get full internet access, but now it's faster. If the second PC connected via a single cable to the switch and then turned on, I lose connection to the PFSense router again. Essentially, the link between the switch and the router breaks down, so neither PC can reach the internet or the router, though they can still view each other through the switch interface. In every case, once the router-switch comes back online, everyone regains access. However, it seems the router drops the connection to the switch for a few minutes whenever a PC tries to connect through the router. I haven't tested whether this happens when starting a computer directly on the router, but those tests are better left for later. The only new log entries after this incident are the strange lines igb3 and igb2 indicating interface issues.
