not long ago i changed my settings from f2 to f14 on my motherboard. it is an AORUS ULTRA GAMING 2.0 Z370 board and now my pre-set bios won't load, so i had to reset the overclocking. right now i am at 5ghz with temps of 1.28. the room temperature is around 20c when it sits idle, but in a game like Cod War Zone Ultra on high settings without caps, the temp spikes hit 72 degrees for just a split second. while Prime95 ran small and stayed near 80c, i got an error because rounding was exactly 0.5 when i expected less than 0.4. this feels like my processor needs more voltage to work properly. should i increase the voltage or keep it as is? i haven't gotten any crashes or blue screens of death so far. cheers

Afro_ninja199, Even though the "Throttle" temperature is 100 degrees Celsius, it's okay not to keep running things too hot. If you hit around 80 degrees Celsius during P95 Small FFTs (without AVX), that means all is well. The ideal working range for core temperatures is between 80 and 85 degrees Celsius. A 5.0GHz speed at a 1.280-volt core voltage shows you have an amazing 8700K CPU. Enjoy your build! CT

Give a small increase in voltage and see if the mistakes go away.
