I’ve tried Origins and Witcher 2, but Witcher 2 really caught my attention. I’m leaning toward Witcher for its story depth. Dragon Age is decent too, but I’m more curious about Geralt’s journey.

haven't finished all the Witcher games yet. Completed most of the story and overall, but spent time on other things before giving up for some unclear reason. Regarding the game, I found the dynamic storytelling in Dragon Age impressive, especially at the beginning when you're learning about the world. I wasn't impressed with the open-world aspects and that's why I didn't buy it. But your choice is up to you—do you prefer more interactive combat and a fluid narrative like in Witcher, or do you enjoy the traditional D&D style where you pick up details through objects and conversations in Dragon Age? Let me know what you think! See what I did there, I'm going back to my cave now.

Thanks for the tips! I plan to keep playing Skyrim until the Witcher launches, hoping it drops around £3 during a Steam sale a couple of weeks ago. If possible, I’ll grab the first two Witchers as soon as they’re available, even though I’ve seen Witcher 1 on G2A for about £5—so I might go for it now. As a side note, I’m just starting Skyrim again after a long break (my 360), and I’m curious which mods the Workshop recommends. Right now I’m only downloading HD texture packs, so I’m excited to see how it looks!

They didn’t quite hit the mark with DA:I, honestly. The decisions felt unimportant and the experience was pretty uniform—just a standard tank-and-spank MMO vibe. If I had to pick, I’d definitely go with Witcher 3.

Start by skipping outdated mods that often don’t work properly. Instead, go to Nexus and install the NexusModManager—it’s essential for most mods. SkyUI really enhances the interface and makes it much easier to use on PC. Avoid lowering the frame rate or disabling V-Sync, as it can disrupt the game’s physics in Skyrim. Immersive Armors and Weapons are solid choices for content mods, and ApachiiSkyhair offers a nice alternative if you prefer less blocky hair effects.
