A brutal take on Black Ops 3's trailer—full of frustration and disappointment.
“A gritty future where a new kind of Black Ops soldier appears and the boundaries between human nature and advanced military robotics become indistinct.” It’s impossible anyone could portray that accurately compared to any other modern shooter. The trailer clearly shows obvious aliasing issues and rough textures—look at 3DSMax rendering for a fresh perspective. The low 1/5 dislike score in the trailer is alarming; it’s time for Treyarch and Activation to rethink their strategy. Once, there was a demand for games targeting specific audiences, especially 16-24 year-olds. Now it seems they’re targeting younger kids who are already disappointed by the trailer. Maybe it’s time to stop chasing that future vibe and focus on what players actually want. When Black Ops 69 launches, you’ll know for sure if it’s just another “near future” hype with no substance.
Spunkgargleweewee keeps doing the same thing over and over, nothing exciting. As long as people keep buying it and old folks don’t understand how video games work, big changes won’t happen soon. The same applies to titles like Assassins Creed; even Black Flag offered a brief spark of hope before things took a turn for the worse.
They will alter their approach once they notice significant declines in sales.
