It hasn’t been long since I tried this approach. I’m moving from a 3700x to a 5900x on a B40 Pro Carbon A/C. Do I need to remove the CPU, RAM, GPU and storage before updating the BIOS with this method? I just want to avoid a complete overhaul at the moment.
