I'm setting up a new gaming PC with the listed components. With these specifications, achieving over 144 fps on a 1440p display using medium to high graphics settings is possible, especially if you optimize your game settings and monitor performance.

What kinds of games are you into? I usually score above 160 in CS:GO, about 80 in R6, and around 1440p in Far Cry 5 when I set the graphics high. I own an 8700k and a 1070.

I suggest choosing Ryzen over Intel.

Occasionally I wonder if some believe each game uses the identical engine.

The Intel 10th generation performs marginally better than the Ryzen 3000 during gaming.

You're not familiar with Valorant or GTA, yet you'll easily handle CS:GO or Fortnite even at top settings.

It costs more and heats up more. It doesn't justify the small gain in frames.

I wouldn't choose the i7 10700k unless you're focused on gaming. For better performance, opt for the i5 10600k. If you enjoy overclocking, you can experiment with it to reach near i9 levels. For productivity tasks, the Ryzen 3900x is a solid pick (about $20 more) and will outperform the i7. The 2070 Super should handle games well. Just keep in mind it may have a shorter lifespan due to upcoming console releases with higher graphics capabilities.

A few of their PSU models aren't great, so choose wisely. It's better to opt for a reliable 600W unit rather than a weaker 700W one.
