He’s thinking about swapping your current CPU and motherboard into his brother’s system. He’s worried about compatibility, especially since he doesn’t feel confident transferring the CPU to a new motherboard for a BIOS update. You asked if it was possible to install the CPU directly onto the motherboard without needing an old one for the BIOS upgrade.

Unless you encounter bad luck, most X570 boards are now pre-updated for compatibility with 5000 series CPUs. Several models also offer an option to refresh the BIOS without a CPU installed, which applies to the one mentioned: Q-Flash Plus update BIOS without installing CPU, Memory and Graphics card
