i have a ryzen 1600x with 16gb ram. it doesn't work well with windows 11, but i made a usb using windows media creation and installed windows 11 fresh without any changes. i enabled tpm and secure boot, but my friend's 1600x still didn't work. i also tried a fresh install, but since we have the same motherboard (orus b450m) and built both systems, there must be something wrong with the setup or drivers.
I installed it on a PC that isn't officially supported by Microsoft, using registry modifications instead of BIOS tweaks. My friend's system has the same board and CPU, yet it doesn't meet the requirements. I've tried enabling TPM and secure boot, setting both BIOS configurations to match on his machine, but I'm curious—why did it work for me while not for him?
Windows 11 will work without issues if your CPU isn't supported. It mainly needs SecureBoot, UEFI-compatible system—meaning CSM should be off according to your motherboard manual (settings vary by board). Also, TPM 2.0 or newer is required, including dedicated chips, firmware TPM (fTPM), Intel PTT, and the integrated chip in AMD Ryzen 6000 series or 7000 series (applicable for laptops and desktops). Ensure these components are properly configured.
