I successfully got my first PC up and running after fixing some issues with the previous graphics card. Now I want to slightly boost my CPU performance. Right now, using QuickCPU gives me an all-core speed of about 4638MHz at around 1V, with core temperatures hovering near 34°C—most cores stay between 33°C and 35°C, while a few dip down to 33°C occasionally. I’m curious about the core multiplier to try and the best settings to use. My current specs are: MPG Z390, GAMING PLUS Intel I5-9600k, 2x8GB RAM at 3600MHz, G.SKILL RAM, Chieftec 700W ATX-PSU, GTX 1060, 6GB RAM, and I’m planning a RTX 2080.

It looks like your CPU cooler isn't providing enough cooling when you increase the core speed multiplier to 50. The temperature rises to about 71-88°C, causing crashes. You've tried various voltages and settings, but the core voltage fluctuates—often staying around 0.912V but sometimes dropping to 0.862V or even spiking up to 1.268V. Despite this, your system still runs at roughly 4638MHz at around 35°C.
I’ve decided I need a more efficient cooler. With my budget tight, I’m limited to these choices: CM Masterliquid Lite 240 (59,90 €), Deepcool Gammaxx L240 (69,90 €), ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 (69,90 €), and Deepcool DP-GS-H12RL-MS 65,90 €. Anyone have advice on the best option?
