i'm purchasing a new 1151 motherboard to pair with the i7 6700k. i know the z170 chipset supports overclocking, but i've read some discussions suggesting a b150 might also allow minor overclocks. is that accurate?

if you wish to customize, opt for a z170. alternatively, if not, you might prefer an h110 paired with a 6700 or even a b150. however, you could allocate the savings to other budget items. or if you specifically need the b150 for a specific reason using a 6700k... then it's unclear if you can make changes at all. sorry :/

don't waste time using a B150 board to boost a 6700K setup, opt for a Z1xx series board just for the sake of it.

bxxx is intended for business use. It's unlikely you can overclock it; could you clarify where you found this?
