The windows Asus tool may overwrite the BIOS they received. When using cpuz, it will detect whether the new BIOS is the current one or an older version.

It seems you didn't verify the CPU because the BIOS hasn't changed post-flash. For modded BIOS guides for Z370 ASUS, feel free to share them!
