Maybe a patch would help because the benchmarks I checked are putting more strain on the CPU. As I mentioned, for MW2 you're already near the limit with 1440 native rendering. When you're CPU-bound, you're just dropping from 100 fps to 99 fps for each frame—about 18% of the time.

Consider upgrading your motherboard and CPU. You can switch to a different CPU while staying on the same motherboard.
