Tried all drivers that fit the 9070xt (few in total), would pick Windows 10 if SEoL wasn’t tight, might need about five months before forcing a fresh install of 11. (Working in infrastructure means avoiding end-of-life like it’s a disease) QVL is just a suggestion—it didn’t decide what would actually run. The old Crucial setup was painfully slow, often stalled on DRAM for minutes during boot, causing many failures. After Corsair, things improved noticeably in boot speed and stability. Real Windows 8 was impressive, built solidly, but it lacked the love and polish of the original. Vendors keep pushing RMA numbers, which is understandable, but I won’t pursue this again since my previous support took six weeks.
Well, if EoL is a problem, Windows 11 seems like a bigger issue? Sadly, finding effective fixes isn’t always easy. I’d consider installing Windows 10 just to test it out, then revert back to Windows 11 so you don’t run into EoL. At least that gives you a choice and avoids wasting money on unnecessary upgrades. Alright, I've managed to fix it now. After everything, it was the mobile chip that was the issue—MSI MAG X670E TOMAHAWK wasn't cooperating. I've been doing the same OCCT stress tests with an ASROCK Pro RS WiFi X870 board, and it still didn't work. It's taken me all my free time for five months, but finally feeling satisfied—it's nice to be done. I'm going to miss rebuilding the PC, though that actually felt pretty cool.
