9070 XT components plus driver delays
Hello everyone, I’m experiencing recurring visual glitches while using the ASUS TUF 9070 XT OC in a brand new setup. When launching games or running the Adrenalin “Stress Test,” I frequently encounter a sudden driver timeout. These issues begin on the lock screen and don’t affect boot or BIOS setup. The build details are R7 9800X3D, with Aorus B850 Elite Wi-Fi 7, 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5, 6000MHz RAM, and a 2TB Samsung 980 Evo Pro SSD. I’ve tried several fixes: reseating components, updating BIOS, rolling back the Radeon driver, changing PCIe speed settings, enabling XMP, and adjusting underclocking parameters. Despite these attempts, artifacts persist. I’m considering filing an RMA and would appreciate any suggestions.
I own identical GPU and motherboard. My games would crash after 15–30 minutes of play. Last night I adjusted two BIOS settings—changing PCIEX16 Slot Link Speed to Gen4 and turning off the built-in graphics. I haven’t run a full test yet, but once I did, I played Cyberpunk for a long time without any problems.
I share the same GPU model as you, and I’m also seeing these visual issues on my system. They appear sporadically, without a clear pattern. The effect is interactive—dragging an icon makes it disappear when the window covers it, then reappears when the window moves. On your first image, they seem to be linked to the start menu. When objects shift on the screen, do the artifacts follow suit?
