8800GT Volt mod success!
I don't know precisely what you did, but the most effective method for voltmoding with the 8800GT is adjusting a specific voltage in the BIOS from 1.05 to 1.1v, which can help achieve an additional 30mhz+ on the maximum overclock on many systems. If you don't notice any improvement, it's likely a CPU bottleneck.

I actually forgot about the BIOS volt mod—it seems straightforward. Maybe I’ll try it so I can squeeze a bit more performance from my core and shader.
I've experimented more and reached 12300 points.
I've increased my 6400+ to 3.4 GHZ with a 285 FSB, along with tweaking my memory and timing.
Notably, I've noticed a significant improvement in my SM and HDR without changing the graphics card settings. It remains at 756 / 1824 / 1050.
The message seems to be unclear, but it appears you're asking about the voltage setting for the GT.
weird.. my 3D mark got 11684 at stock speed. after overclocking the CPU and GPU, the score jumped to 13600+. haha, nice improvement there.

This could be thanks to a much stronger processor. The system I tested was around 6xxx for CPU score compared to my 27xx CPU score. It seems they go together, more CPU power means faster overall processing. Still, for a budget build with $155 in rebates (which I finally got all) and this cheap E2180 at 3Ghz, I can't complain too much. But at 1920x1200 resolution, the limitation mostly comes from the GPU rather than the CPU. I only have a demo of 3dmark06 so I can't test higher resolutions.
I purchased a new monitor and tested the volt mod at a resolution of 1920x1200. The result was better than at 1280 but still not worth the effort. I observed a 2.16% improvement with the settings 750/1915/995 in 3DMark06 compared to my original voltage configuration. It seems like a loss again. I’m still not sure if it’s due to my CPU (E2180 @ 3Ghz) or just a general issue. I’ll wait to see what happens with the Q6600 at higher speeds.
