I have manually adjusted VCCSA and VCCIO to 1.100 in the BIOS. My i7 8700k is running at 4.7ghz continuously. It shows a 1.245 vcore in Vios and reads 1.248 in HWinfo. The actual numbers in HWinfo are VCCSA 1.224 and VCCIO 1.128 (minimum 1.120 to maximum 1.128). Are these acceptable levels? Should I adjust any settings or keep them as is? And could anyone explain why these changes worked so well? The system has remained stable since I applied these values, even though Destiny 2 experienced a crash after playing for several hours. Not sure why that happened. The default XMP values looked quite high in MSI Command Center, so I followed the advice from a forum and updated them today after learning about the Spectre issue.
Initially all voltages need to be minimized, otherwise achieving them requires thorough stability checks.
The SA and IO voltages you mentioned are acceptable.
Directly following the ASUS OC guide, DDR4-3600 should work with DDR4-4266, IO between 1.15V and 1.30V, SA around 1.20V to 1.35V. Running RAM at a lower stable value is ideal for better performance and less heat.
I would perform testing with HCI and consider it stable if successful.
