8700k frequency at static with speed adjustment active
I've been attempting to reach a stable 8700k at 5.1ghz for about an hour. It worked when I adjusted it to 1.36, but this AORUS Gaming 7 board appears to deliver too little voltage, showing readings between 1.34 and 5 under load.
That's acceptable, but since I'm sensitive to voltage fluctuations, I enabled speed shift and force halt, yet it still stays at 5.1ghz.
This is concerning because I prefer keeping the chip at around 1.35v continuously, which is why I rely on variable voltage. The LLC is set to high, and I even tried power saver mode to check if performance settings were the issue, but nothing changed.
The voltage is significantly lower than what some are using to achieve 5.1 on that CPU, but it's acceptable as long as you're within normal operating temperature ranges. The static voltage Gigabyte maintains has always had different BIOS configurations—someone with a Gigabyte M/B might be able to assist if needed, especially since I'm running an ASUS M/B. I should have mentioned this earlier.
Not addressed under full load CPU and FPU in AIDA, it briefly peaks at 89 for a moment, while the average was around 82. Using a Kraken X62 v2 as an intake might help.
