I checked my computer's performance in Task Manager and noticed it shows 16GB of RAM (2x8GB DDR4 at 2666MHz), but only uses about 7.9GB. The remaining 8.1GB is marked as Hardware Reserved. This is the second machine I assembled using used components. To fix the issue, I attempted to limit memory reservations to 2GB, restarted it, but nothing changed. I also removed unused device drivers, reset Windows, reverted BIOS settings, cleaned and reinserted the RAM sticks—still no improvement. Any suggestions?

You didn't disable the IGPU setting outright; instead, some BIOS options keep it active by default.

Checked RAM modules separately in each slot; they functioned independently. Inserted both and immediately had 15.9GB available.

It seems this was a seating concern initially. Good news, it’s now functioning properly!
