hi, i just signup here. i have problem, i just bought ventus 3080ti, before im upgrading my ram im using 4x(8GB)ram 2666mhz im learning Software Unreal Engine, end feel need to Upgrade my ram. now im run with i7 8086k & my stupid choice 4x(16gb)ram 3600MHz. like compiling source code without knowledge about the code, im trying xmp, there was option for core if i click it the value change to "50" , the default is "40". is it 4Ghz to 5Ghz? , but before i confirm to "yes" it show message pop up "if yes at least i have water cooling on it" (im not use water cooling) im using thermaltake. trying to click yes and change the Dram frequency from auto to 3600. test on cinebench 1.5 result is 1602 cb. before use xmp it show 1358 cb. but the problem is themperature , at cpuId i see 2 core from 6 core showing 100 celcius, in my mind i belive if the benchmark run longer then all core will geting 100c. trying change Xmp setting, changing cpu freq 50 back to 40, "single core", with Dram freq still at 3600Mhz. result showing 1350-1370, not much different. to be honest im scare to do more experiment with Xmp, getting 100celcius feel like im burn my motherboard. and then my question is what should i do for get better performance. do i need to kept default setting, kept my 3600Mhz ram run in 2666 Mhz,? do i need to upgrade MY Processor?, what processor better for Unreal engine, 3080 ti, 64 ram 3600Mhz. do i need to buy water cooling and run on overclocked machine, is it safe? thanks,
