I've been experimenting with CSGO recently and trying to understand how to enjoy 720p in fullscreen while using multiple monitors. I've encountered a few different setups.
1. Running 720p fullscreen – this lets you play at 720p in fullscreen, but switching to your other monitor causes the game window to reset to 1080p.
2. Fullscreen windowed mode – this keeps the desktop at 1080p and lets you use your secondary screen freely.
3. Downscale your desktop to 720p while playing fullscreen windowed – this gives you 720p fullscreen but makes your desktop appear at 720p, which isn’t great.
There seems to be no built-in trick to maintain a 1080p desktop while streaming 720p fullscreen. You might need to adjust settings or use specific software to manage resolution changes.
