Unless you like windows 10's additional features then there is no reason to use it, frankly given how a lot of people are reverting back direct x 12 will likely be stalled, now under normal circumstance MS would just release a new OS early making this a less important question but they seem dead set on making windows 10 universal (though this is likely the reason it feels like an annoyance)

I rely on both platforms and favor Windows 7. Yet with some adjustments, Windows 10 can feel quite usable and pleasant. The only issue is the control panel design, which can be confusing when trying to launch the OS or adjust settings. Windows 10 moves slightly backward in simplicity and clarity, according to my perspective. Windows 7 supports Vulkan, matching DirectX 12 functionality. While some upcoming titles might use DX12, they won’t rely on Vulkan, and I expect more games will adopt Vulkan instead. If you choose Windows 10, you can switch to Aero Glass or other themes like Startisback++ or Classic Shell. To avoid intrusive data collection by Microsoft in Windows 10, explore the recommended guides and consider tools such as O&O Shut Up 10 or Spybot Anti-Beacon. For a detailed comparison of Windows 7 and 10, I’ve written a blog post (though it hasn’t been refreshed recently).
