I purchased the MSI Z170 PC Mate to pair with an i5 6500 for gaming, with room for future upgrades. My setup shifted slightly when I started handling drone images, so I upgraded to a 6700k. Presently, I have a 4.6 OC with 1.35 volts in the BIOS, but under load this drops to around 1.3, as seen in CPU-Z. Could this lead to long-term problems? Would a motherboard upgrade improve overclocking? I currently have a Noctua D15 installed. I’m considering an Asus Z170-A or Asus Z170 Pro gaming model within my budget.

It seems like the message is trying to reassure someone that their setup is fine. They mention a good performance and express confidence in their choice.

It seems to be fine as long as it works. I received a model with 4.5GHz and 1.385V, which is definitely better than yours, no problem at all.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter. Just ensure it's stable. If it is, no problem. I got mine 4.5GHz with 1.385V, so you're much better than me, no worries. These CPUs seem a bit let down compared to my q6600 which ran at 3.6 for years. Thanks for the reply—I'll do some more testing and confirm full stability.
