No clear distinction in performance between DDR5 6000MHz with CL30 and 6000MHz CL36, as both operate at the same frequency.

It should be quantifiable through standards. The impact in practical scenarios varies based on how latency-sensitive an app or game is. It could be negligible or noticeable, possibly affecting performance by a small margin. To determine real values, you need benchmarks that compare these setups.

Focusing on gaming performance without visual cues, such as a frame rate display, is uncommon. Visible during benchmarks might vary based on the game and configuration.

What CPU and motherboard you choose, along with the number of sticks and RAM, will become less important since reaching 6000MHz might not be possible.

I focus more on the sub timing details than just the main ones. When it falls between 30-38-38-96 and 36-36-36-76, I favor the tighter but longer intervals. I expect an 8700GG result, and I can try those ranges because I own a 32GB kit of each. Looking at Newegg has become a bit more challenging lately, with a wider selection of sub timings even for the same 6000MHz DDR5 models.

It seems Am5 Intel 1200 Tuned might be replicating buildzoid's tuning in subtimings.

they're not just trcd, trp, and tras in the primaries. Cl is mainly for marketing purposes and helps identify specific chips like the 6400c32, which is a die from Hynix so it doesn't really impact performance. The other primaries seem to have more influence than CL subs would suggest. I think secondary and tertiary timings are where most of the performance comes from. XMP probably doesn't affect those parts much, but I'm not sure since I don't have any XMP sticks and won't bother unless I need something really inconsistent. I guess people can check XMP profiles for more details, maybe later when it's 2:51 am and I have to wake up at 6 for school.
