Looking for a reliable method to manage monitors on Linux? You need to limit xscreen0 to three and keep screens fixed between 0 and 1. The Mint distribution works, but another distro might offer better stability. Make sure you're using the latest Nvidia drivers for optimal performance.

Yes, I use the Nvidia drivers. They seem to cause issues when enabled.

The custom drivers perform better, though they come with their own issues (like tearing and small font problems). These quirks required adjustments via xorg.conf. As someone who used Nvidia, I can confirm this experience. Now, what’s the big picture? P.S.: Avoid Nvidia on Linux—try AMD instead.

Possible, though recognized as problematic. Examine xinerama. This wiki is very helpful for this topic: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/multihead Doesn't matter it says "arch". It works consistently across all distributions.
