The i5 model uses DDR4 at 2666 MHz. With a Z490 board, you can run it at 3200 MHz. Since your kit supports that speed, you should benefit from the faster RAM.

He uses a 3200MHz rated board but set it to 2666MHz due to a locked CPU with the 7700 non-K. You're correct, it works fine with the 10600KF and a Z-Series board.

I'm not sure, but seeing many users with a 4.79 GHz processor doesn't necessarily mean it's fast—depends on the model and usage.

It remains a functional setup, though it’s beginning to reveal its limitations in certain areas. Intel has been re-selling chips from the higher-clock Skylake lineup. Skylake offers only modest upgrades compared to the 4th-gen Devil's Canyon, which itself was a Haswell refresh. Several reasons have slowed Intel’s advancement beyond just average improvements. AMD made a surprising move with Ryzen, catching Intel off guard, while Intel’s reaction so far has been underwhelming. The third-gen Ryzen is underperforming relative to the 10th-gen Intel chips at a reduced cost. Upgrading from my 4790k provides solid gains, but the price jump to over $800 isn’t worth it for most users.
