Hello everyone, I'm trying to figure out a problem with my router. It seems the 5G band becomes unavailable about five minutes after starting a download. Every device loses access for roughly fifteen minutes before it resumes working again. This cycle keeps happening until I reset the router, which then works for a few days before it starts again. Any suggestions on how to resolve this? Thanks!

The router is quite old. It supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It seems to operate in an intermittent mode. You may be able to upgrade its software by logging into it yourself.

About a year ago, my ISP supplied the setup. I’m able to log in to the router, but I think I can’t update the firmware since it’s restricted by my ISP. I’ve switched the channel, yet the issue continues.

The availability of 5G is currently limited to demo settings and not suitable for regular use.

They're referring to 5GHz wireless technology on Wi-Fi, which has existed for a long time. It started with standards like 802.11A, N, AC, and now AX.
