I’m planning to enter a new home soon that lacks fiber but has old coax. It turns out 5G Wi-Fi is actually more affordable there than traditional coax. My smartphone plan works with the same provider, so I checked today and found about 300 Mbit/s in both directions—meaning 5G offers solid performance inside the house. I’m not very experienced with routers, but the ISP gave me two choices: ZTE MC888 Pro 5G for $30 USD a month (with unlimited internet via 5G) and Huawei H155-383 5G CPE 5 for $25 USD a month (also unlimited). Since I’m in Sweden, prices are shown in SEK. There’s no way to pay just for the internet and rent your own router, so I’m trying to decide which option is better and why. Which brand should I pick?
