Consider purchasing the 5800X immediately and using it in Eco Mode for better heat management, or wait to check availability of a 65W 5700X. The 5700X would essentially be the same as the 5800X but with Eco Mode enabled. You're looking for an 8-core Zen 3 processor with temperatures around 3700X.

But why? Just provide the 5800x and a u12s for each issue resolved.

I wouldn't pick CPUs based on eco mode. It makes more sense to opt for an affordable air cooler like a U12 or a 240mm AIO. Also, the Ryzen 5000 and Ryzen 3000 have the same TDP, so temperatures should be comparable. At this stage, I'd wait for the 5700/5700x release. Newegg is pushing you to buy bundles for the RTX 3K, Zen 3, and RDNA 2. The best chance is around the launch day for the new Zen 3 chips. During the initial release, there were a few stocked minutes without website issues, making it likely you can secure one.

My system runs very quietly, even during intense games like Dark Rock Pro 4. The 140mm SW3 fans and RTX 3070 Gaming X Trio are helping, but the 3600X setup isn’t sufficient for a 5800X without a significant temperature increase—around 20°C higher.

Are you pushing performance or lowering the voltage? 5800X offers superior silicon quality compared to a hypothetical 5700(X), though it's unclear if the efficiency gain outweighs the cost. If budget isn't a factor, choose the 5800X. It may perform better when undervolting thanks to its higher-quality CCD. If you want to conserve some funds (and the 5800X price makes it less attractive), wait for a 5700. Since I don’t rely on speculation and Zen3 undervolting remains uncertain, it’s safer to hold off. Nothing harms waiting.

Alright, I'll wait then. I hope it's available.
