The 5800x costs around £225, while the 5800x3d is £360. The extra cost of £135 makes it seem like the 3d offers more value compared to the base model.

Is there any benefit in the 5800X3D worth the price of 135? Otherwise, it wouldn't justify the cost.

The 13600k seems to be a more suitable option at the higher end.

I need to know what tasks you plan to perform on your computer. Understanding your needs helps determine if it’s worthwhile.

Are you working on a brand-new setup or enhancing an older AM4 configuration?

I use this for personal and gaming purposes. I mainly play new triple A titles that also release FPS games. Upgrading my setup with Ryzen 3600 and RX6800.

For peak performance at 1080p, I recommend the 5800x3d. When using 1440p or higher resolutions, it's better to opt for 5800x or even 5600x to save costs.
