I was considering lowering the voltage on my 5600X. I don’t play hardcore games and usually keep things at lower settings for a more comfortable experience. I used Ryzen Master to experiment, starting with the default: peak core voltage at 1.31875 volts and clock speeds set to auto, pushing the max up to 4650mhz. I adjusted it down to 1.25625 volts and clock speeds to 3800mhz, which matches the base speeds for this model. I wanted to see if it would improve performance without causing issues, and check temperature readings with MSI Afterburner and HwInfo. In some games I noticed better FPS, like in Battlefield 4. I’m curious if this approach could be safe and if Ryzen Master would be a good fit for my setup. I’m also unsure how to apply similar settings to my Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2 BIOS since there aren’t clear guides for the best undervolt and underclocking options.

It won<|pad|> can't harm the chip, though it might be prone to instability and crash eventually. Adjusting voltage on Ryzen is tricky for me, but it handles itself reasonably well. A simpler approach would be to lower the power settings in the BIOS instead of tweaking voltage.
