You're considering the AMD 5600X versus the 5800X. The 5600X is roughly $80 less, but the differences in performance and features might be significant. It depends on your specific needs and budget.

I would choose the most affordable option and monitor 5800x3d for a drop.

A hardware package was unboxed and a YouTube video was shared comparing the Ryzen 7 5700X with the Ryzen 5 5600 and its 6-core configuration for gaming purposes.

I would prefer to hold for 7700X3D, and then a significant price reduction would follow for 5800X3D as well.

Sure, op is working on improving performance for the upcoming 7700x3d release. The 5600x is a solid CPU choice, and even a 5600 would be fine if you manage to get it at a lower price.

I purchased the 5600x during the Black Friday sale on Amazon because my previous model, the 2600, has been showing signs of wear after three to four years. This upgrade was simply a BIOS enhancement for my motherboard. The package arrived yesterday, about a week and a half after I placed the order. Upon opening it, the CPU was already removed from the box. The only contents were the fan and the manual. After reviewing the negative feedback on the product page, it seems many similar issues exist—people either don’t receive a CPU, get a damaged one, or receive an incorrect model. It looks like there’s a problem with the return process and product verification on Amazon. The issue is that they don’t seem to properly confirm returned items match the original description. If I wait until tonight, there’s a 24-hour window to claim the “item never arrived” option and request another unit. I’m extremely frustrated—this is my first major scam experience with Amazon, and I’ve only been shopping there for books.

Small update: Turns out NewEgg is having the same deal, is still going on, and will throw in a copy of Uncharted with purchase. Just have to wait 2 more weeks for the backorder to arrive. I know this is a longshot, but here's to hoping newegg does better than Amazon.
