Hey there, I know English isn't my first language, so please give me some grace. I'm just getting into PC building and do cleaning, installation, and setup work for clients—basically friends and family who help fix their computers. I had a couple of small mishaps, like breaking someone's power supply by plugging the wrong voltage into a pin. I also accidentally bent pins on a friend's motherboard trying to force an air cooler onto it. Overall, I've got some basic knowledge about building PCs. Two of my friends had similar problems with a black screen; they mentioned seeing the Event Viewer error and thought it might be related to a power issue, especially when the PC was under heavy load. I've tried checking the PSU, unplugging components, and even testing cables, but nothing seems to fix it. When I reattached the HDD power cable, the voltage fluctuated between 5.80 and 4.60 volts, which made me think a cable might be loose or the PSU faulty. I thought I’d resolved it, but yesterday the black screen appeared again without any warning. It's frustrating because the computer still works, but it's annoying to deal with. Do you think I might have installed an incorrect OS? Thanks for your help and understanding.
