I explored how reliable 4 RAM sticks with Zen 2 are. I’m planning to upgrade to 32GB to boost multitasking, especially since I often face frame drops when many tabs run and my CPU is limited. It seems like a big effort might fix the issue. When I used a R5 1600 with 4x4GB RAM, I struggled to reach over 2400MHz without crashes. I upgraded to a 2x8GB setup and managed to get it running smoothly. Now I’m testing it on my current CPU, but I’m curious if Zen 2 performs better on 300-series boards or if stability improves overall.

you’ll mostly see similar results, it’s unlikely you’ll exceed 3000 MHz or 3200 MHz on a 300-series board, though you can still experiment

Consider trading in your existing RAM and purchasing a 2x16GB 3200C16 package to ensure optimal performance.

The outcome was mostly due to chance. Slightly improved, but luck remained involved.

Will it function properly or lead to complications?

It might function, but you'll need to use a more costly 3600C16 model to achieve even a slight improvement in performance.
