They probably aren't built for overclocking, but the general power output matters more than just one connection. Check out the database at http://www.overclock.net/t/946407/amd-mo...o-database to find suitable boards.

That CPU has a 100-watt TDP rating, so choose a motherboard rated for at least that amount, preferably more, since you plan to overclock. If the board doesn't list compatible TDP, opt for an 8-pin ATX model. P.S. I also reviewed other compatible CPUs and confirmed there are plenty available. My power supply has an 8-pin (4+4) CPU power connector, so I won’t need an adapter, but appreciate the guidance! Regarding hardware compatibility: if a memory isn’t listed, does that mean it’s not supported, or was it simply untested? The Corsair Vengeance LP 2x4GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 I’m considering hasn’t appeared in any of the boards I’ve examined.

The power connector on the motherboard provides more than just electricity for the CPU. You should also consider the power coming from the PCI slot. Running a card such as the 1050ti, which relies solely on the PCI slot, may need additional power from the motherboard.

It's accurate. However, remember the EPS12v CPU connector has no connection to PCIE slot power. A forum member (a moderator, not a full mod) mocked someone for sharing correct information, saying the EPS12v also powers the PCIE slot, then told them to stop replying there. I had to intervene and clarify that he was completely wrong and shouldn't disrespect users who are right.
